Full Pupp, the new kid on the Bear Entertainment block brought to you by Prins Thomas of Norway and Stevie Kotey, is about to launch it’s first release. With Creation of Full Pupp we speak to the Viking disko king Prins Thomas.

Q & A Session with Prins Thomas

Q: In 15 words or less describe your sound
PT: The sound of horny gay disko-vikings coming to get you…

Q: What’s the deal with Full Pupp? What other artists are on the label?
PT: The initial idea was “more killers, less fillers”. Though some might not
agree, I think the underground diskosound of Norway represents loads of
different flavours, and hopefully our outlet will reflect that (but still keepin’ it disko…). Expect some humpin’ pumpin’ seamen’s shanties from Rune Lindbæk, Todd Terje, Kalle Magnus & Daniel, Lindstrom, Bjørn Torske, yours truly…+++

Q: What’s in the water in Norway?
PT: Vann og fisk

Q: There seems to be so many great productions from this country - why?
PT: Possibly because the lack of a “scene”…Also, it’s a very friendly and non-competitive environment where everbody knows each other. Plus we
stole the Idjuts diskoballs a couple of years back and it has helped us tremendously…

Q: What flavours are you feeling particularly right now? Why?
PT: I’ve got the flu, so at the moment it’s ginger and lemon with honey.

Q: What projects are you working on at the moment?
PT: Solo Prins Thomas stuff, monthly radioshow on Shibuya FM (Tokyo), different stuff with HP as Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, some stolen rehashed diskonuggets…

Q: What is 59 + 280 (in your head no calculators)
PT: 339? What did I win?

You win a calculator !

Q: What do you see as your greatest achievement?
PT: Having kids obviously as I have 2…Musicwise, it’s got to be going to Japan

Q: What other life goals do you have?
PT: Eh….going back to Japan maybe? Oh, and to have more kids.

Q: Name 5 records you couldn’t live without
Holger Czukay - Movies, Walter Gibbons Disco Madness, Antonio Carlos
Jobim - Stone Flower, Kiss - Music from the Elder, Grace Jones - The Compass Point Sessions.

Q: What is your favourite traditional Norwegian dish?
PT: The only traditional dishes I know of is either rotten fish or sheep’s
head…No thanks!
